Queen Anne Ball

he Queen Anne Ball will kick-off the year-long celebration of the 300th anniversary of the granting of Annapolis’ Royal Charter.
As the vanguard of the idea that democracy should flourish in the colonies, the Royal Charter was granted on December 8, 1708, giving democracy and its system of governance to the city of Annapolis.
In recognition of this historic event, a festive ball in honor of Queen Anne will be held.
The Loews Annapolis Hotel will be transformed into a castle where guests will be greeted by Queen Anne. Herald trumpets will fill the air, town criers will announce all guests as they arrive, and knights and their ladies, entertainers, and the Queen’s court will attend to loyal subjects as they drink, dine and dance to the sounds of Radio City.
Proceeds from this once-in-a-lifetime gala will fund celebratory and cultural Annapolis Alive! events throughout the year.
You can purchase tickets or make a donation to the ball online or by mail, with a check or with a credit card. There are various ticket levels, each with different benefits. Please see below..
